 Marine Biotechnology Laboratory


Marine Biotechnology laboratory was invested 6 billion VND in an area 82m2 and started operation since 2012. The objective of the laboratory is for teaching undergraduate, postgraduate, serving research in the field of microbiology and its application on aquaculture in particular. In terms of educating, laboratory currently serves the organization of teaching practice for 06 undergraduate courses; including:

  • Microbiology

  • Aquatic Microbiology

  • Medical Microbiology

  • Fish Diseases

  • Aquaculture Genetics and Selective Breeding

  •  Marine Biotechnology 

And 01 postgraduate course of Applied Microbiology.

In term of research, the laboratory performs its function as serving and supporting students working on their thesis project, scientific studies of lecturers, researchers and research groups from domestic and foreign projects on fish diseases, applied microbiology in aquaculture and environmental treatments. The research is mainly focus on environmental microbiology, applied genetics on marine biotechnology, extraction of biological compounds, searching on new sources of marine food and pharmaceutical products…
